This is a full, stand alone game, a 2D visual novel (short story). This release contains the "Teen" and "Adults Only" versions. Please be advised that the adults only version is sexually explicit.

Vera Blanc and Brandon Mackey, private investigators who specialize in solving "unusual" cases, are asked to investigate the mysterious disappearance of Francine ("Frankie") Steen from her hospital bed. She was diagnosed as brain-dead and on life support at the time, as a result of an automobile accident. Since she was incapable of leaving on her own, someone else obviously engineered her disappearance.
Who kidnapped her, and why?
You, the player, guide Vera and Brandon through the story. Help them investigate, ask questions, interview the other characters, and use Vera's ability to (sometimes) read minds in order to solve the mystery.
Player choices determine how the story progresses, and the eventual outcome. There are three endings.

System requirements: A web browser that is capable of playing HTML 5. This has been tested using several browsers on a PC running Windows 7 and on a MAC. It should run on a Linux system.

Uncompress the compressed file using 7zip, winzip, winrar, or your favorite archiver. You may install the game in any folder on your hard drive.
To run the game, open the index.html file in any web browser program that supports html 5.

Known issues:
1. There are screen size and save/load misalignment issues with Internet Explorer 11. While the game is playable, I recommend you use another browser.
2. On a Linux system using Chrome, you might get a blank black screen. This can be fixed by telling Chrome to allow the game to set local data.
3. Depending on your browser and browser settings, save game information may disappear when you close your browser.

Note: Rapidly clicking to skip dialog may cause the VN to crash, or skip visuals.


Playing time is about 45 minutes.
This is a fan made game based on the Vera Blanc and Brandon Mackey characters, created by winterwolves games (characters used with permission).
You may not upload any version of this game to any other site.

Kudos to kexter for developing the technique to convert this to HTML format.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I downloaded via the hotfile link, but when I try to open I get the app has "failed to start because d3dx9_37.dll was not found."

I downloaded everything that was in the .zip, any pointers as to what I may be missing?

What version of Windows are you running? It appears that the version of DirectX on your PC does not support Novelty.
Here's a link to download DirectX 9c. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=34429
Note that DirectX 9c does not conflict with either Directx 10 or DirectX 11, so you can have multiple versions of Directx on your c0omputer.

Also, some older video chipsets don't support directx 9.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Since I don't ask for money for these, feedback is the only compensation I receive.. I started working on this VN in December 2012. I usually take some time off between making games. I plan to continue making visual novels/games, but don't have anything specific in mind yet.
