Problem with ADRIFT 3.9 Game: Crossworlds 4

Can anyone help me with this please?

I've played every instalment so far from 0 to 3 .. I'm trying to play the final part but every time I try to load it I get an error message saying "Error loading adventure"... I've tried downloads from the author's (bbben) own site and from Delron and saved them into different folders, but the result is the same.

Anyone know how I can fix this problem or where I can find a working copy?

I don't think that's the game's fault. What operating system are you using? ADRIFT 3.9 is pretty old, and it has problems with newer operating systems.

You may have to use Scare (which is included in Gargoyle). Unfortunately it doesn't have some of the features of the regular ADRIFT interpreter, such as being able to define the PC's name.

Thanks... I eventually got around it be re-installing ADRIFT..

Now trying to work out how to kill this darn gremlin....
