- had to undo quite a bit and redo 2 whole days, but groceries quest bugged. Done it 3 times, got to Celeste's her office went to sleep. And Celeste tells me i forgot to place the food. Yup all my money gone, next the food chain starts again all 3 can be done. Then Celeste shows up she wants to meet me AGAIN in the office. But this one is stuck can't accept.
- and oops got progressed to fast with scruffy at one point, skipped to share pictures about Celeste, but he seen them from Frey. There goes my new bed
- gonna restart the game and take things slower grinding wise and get the groceries quest started Asap. Seeing if that helps with my money
-and yes i have set a macro for doing a normal workday. You might notice when you see the transcript

Alright. I think I know now. You can skip the accept part for the food run reward. Just go to her office at the given time if you have done the 3 food runs. Should progress. Let me know if that works. I have allowed the accept command to allow repeats going forward.
If you fail any of the the food runs she will reset her love level and remove your money. It should not happen if you already are at love level 3.

Hmm Celeste should be shown first. Unless there is a something that gives repeat Scruffy loyalty right now. I have not tested for a lot of repeat command uses it seems.
Only place I can see you skipping ahead in Scruffy loyalty (and breaking his path) is if you buy the first room upgrade more then once. Rich person problems This has been fixed.

Ahh I found the Celeste task bug. Big mistake on my part. If you don't show up at her office and complete the reward the same day, the game thinks you have unfinished businees and beats you. Fixed. Sorry about your reset.

So I got Celeste's task to go up to her room at the same time as the task to go buy groceries. I didn't notice that when I hit "accept task", so I didn't do the groceries stuff and the next day my money got taken away. The thing is, the next time I went to do the groceries task, I tried to buy the groceries and got a "You don have enough credits to buy the food. Celeste gave you enough money. Stupid." message despite having 1000 credits.

Is that a bug or am I always supposed to chip in some of my own money when buying groceries?

That is new. Will have to look into that. You should not have gotten two requests at the same time. This will have fucked the order of things and no you should always get enough money. That check is there to make sure you haven't spent it somewhere else in the meantime. Like on eating or such.

The request to buy groceries only happens when she has 0, 1 or 2 love. And the request to come to her office only happens at 3 love so should never be possible to get at the same time. Unless something is very wrong.
The bug with the reset should be fixed but should be easy to avoid.

i think something is very wrong then. Completed the groceries task 3 times, getting the love 3 event as you call it. Then next day she says that i forgot to place the groceries and she calls me a thief. I assume then that <3 resets for Celeste as well and the cycle restarts with groceries x3. But cause the love 3 event has already been completed you see it appear but can no longer complete it. Gonna try in next play through 3x groceries accept office task, and to see if i can buy groceries again at that point. Just so shes not stealing all me money

Yeah Celeste is broken. Right now I can't find the cause of that problem. Might have to go through each line.
Please don't play for fun until I have uploaded a fix. This is gonna be a good one as I have no idea how adrift bends the rules I have set.

Zoe does give the lotion task very early. But she should also give roof access if you take the lotion. Might be working as intended.

Developer note.
As you might have noticed most of these bugs happen in the early events for boss, janitor and waitress. These are all the first I implemented and do contain a very large amounts of Adrift noob errors in implementation. That is what is coming back to haunt me now. Small changes to their stuff and everything breaks. My hope is any new events going forward wont be as up hill.

Boss task should work again. At least in my test it did (that is not really worth a lot)

Learning moment of the day:
BIG adrift confusion sorted after comparing transcripts, to my playtest, to debugger output.
Tasks and Conversations do not behave as I expected.
If you have multiple tasks with the same command any failure text stops any checks and prints the text.
if you have multiple conversations with the same command it will ignore the failure text and move on to the next fitting conversation.

This means going forward that to avoid any mixups with conversations every command word will only be used once. Exp. you wont be able to do the scruffy room upgrades with the ask command "room" or "upgrade" for all of them.

i can see that at the start this all would be fine but eventually this can go very confusing, well depending on how many items there would be for a upgrade

It only applies to Ask commands that change the gamestate like buy something, upgrading something.
I can do as much as I like with flavor and story text as these don't have to have the same hard checks.
I think it will be fine. Every case will have clear hints in the text as with room upgrades (will go over the current ones to make sure everything is clear).
Asking a girl about her name might do something like unlock some info. This won't break if you do it again as I can easily do a different text answer. Very different with upgrades etc and things that cost credits that change the world.

I'm not making great progress especially with increasing scruffy loyalty, it is now at 3, and he hasn't mentioned anything about recording pictures, sharing them.. so, i cannot progress with room upgrade, cleaning the room , examine the shower events, any help?

EDIT: Ok, found out about part of that, so new questions are:

how to increase scruffy loyaltu? I can't share pictures.. and he's not helping with the room..how to progres with Taylor? form the debugger it seems that to ask her about schedule i needed celeste love at 3, but i already have 4, is this normal? Also, what to do with angela?

Hello caravaggio and thanks for the interest in the game.

Everybody but Gem are only there right now to make Gems path possible. (Frey might have slightly more scenes then the others but still very unfinished). Most of them only have the introductions like Angela. You know she is there but there is nothing to do with her at this point.

Good catch of Taylor needing Celeste love to talk about something. That is a very old implementation and needs to change.

Progressing with Scruffy requires very different things depending on what stage you are on with him. First event that starts the chain is in your room at 9 in the morning.
Sharing pictures later requires that you have seen the boss and later the waitress naked (not counting the shower scene). As you mention that Celeste has 4 love you should be able to share pictures about her.
Every step in his path should be somewhat clear from his events and conversations. If not then please let me know what the last event with Scruffy was so I can take a look at it.

All selected because I like their work and find them attractive. Did go for very well known porn stars and celebrities as I don't think their career will be affected in any way from the use here. There are a lot of much lesser known celebrities or models that I would find interesting to use but some of them are working hard to get noticed (cam models is a big thing right now) and have to be much more protective about their brand. So won't use stuff from models that are just trying to make buck (cam model stuff behind paywalls or doing private shows) or actresses that might not want their introduction to a new fan to be a fake of her, with a cock in her mouth, from a silly adventure game.)
