how are people avoiding the error messages, they keep popping up a few minutes into each try and it's very frustrating.

if you are playing online that seems to be happeing....not sure if VDG's site is having problems or it is just the traffic...if you want to avoid the erro messages download the latest copy of the game from the site.

I did try the download, but my cookies never seem to save, so it's impossible to progress in the game. It probably is because I have a mac.

the way i get around the cookie problem is just to rename the folder i put the files in. so i start with a folder called 'rachel' and every time i start over i rename it: 'rachel1', 'rachel2', etc. PITA, but its the easiest way for me

You have to kiss her immediately after winning, which will increase RACHfun by 1.

I believe you only need to increase RACHfun twice for the leisure centre ending (and no drinks at all from what I can tell). There are three other places where you can increase RACHfun (and for the leisure centre ending you'll be doing one of them anyway), and another where RACHinf is increased. Unfortunately RACHinf isn't tested anywhere in the game. I assume it was intended to be RACHfun.

Fun 3 is only needed for the two Rachel solo endings (the one at the hotel also requires 3 Drinks). And, apart from getting Rachel to flash you at the store, that's all that the drink and fun stats are used for (although you still have to get other people drunk and gain influence with them).

The Alex path is the buggiest of all, particularly the conversation at the bar. I don't know about anyone else, but I ended up tracing the path through the html files so that I could see where the errors were and fix them.

If that's still not fixed in the newer version I suggest to download my fix from a few pages back, should make the alex ending doable...
