FWIW, these are AIF games I would readily recommend: Big Day Out (romp-style), Second Guest (by GoblinBoy, who is the author of the SD franchise), The Reunion (by Moriarti), Sex Artist. These are the best, as far as I am concerned

These games are enjoyable too: GammaGirls, Generic New York Apartment, games by Newkid, Last Minute Gift, Office Fantasy games by A. Bomire, Hotel Paradise, Pool Party, Prom Night, Sam Shooter games, Winter Break.

The only other game with rendered pictures that I'm aware of is Ghost, which was also written by Goblinboy. The pictures aren't as good, as it was his first try and it's quite a short game.

There are a couple of RAGS games with rendered pictures, but I can't remember what they are off the top of my head. Almost all RAGS games have pics, although whether they're necessarily good games is another matter.

My top three list of AIF would be:
1. Sex Artist by A.Ninny
2. Tomorrow Never Comes by A.Bomire
3. School Dreams 3 by Goblinboy

I'd also recommend Gifts of Phallius 2, the Sam Shooter series, Pool Party, Fever Cabin, Mount Voluptuous, Ideal Pacific Coast University, and Crossworlds Part 0 (the rest of that series is good too, but that's my favorite).

Of the above games, only a couple have pictures. There's a thread on aifgames.com with a more complete list of AIF w/pictures. You could also look at past Erin winners (http://erins.aifcommunity.org/) for games recommendations.

There are several TADS interpreters for the Mac, including Spatterlight and FrobTADS.
The one you want is probably CocoaTADS. It's only at version 0.2 but it supports graphics, and the Mac users on the AIFArchive list have reported it works well.

That walkthrough should cover pretty much everything (although it should be stressed that you can't do *everything* in a single game). It certainly covers the mega-daydream, even if it doesn't explicitly tell you what the requirements are.

As for how to add pictures, see the notes text file that should come with the game:
"create a directory called images in the location of the game file, and put in images of your choice"

When you complete the game it should give you a list of what the jpg files should be named for the main pictures (there are others, which you can find by searching the decompiled file, but it's often not very obvious what they're meant to be).
