I have played through the game this afternoon and although it wasnt too buggy, (it seems this is a cleaned up version than a few have already played) i found it to be quite unenjoyable. I have been a fan of Chaotic since he started and would still consider Crystal to be one of the best games of this genre. But his games have progressively gotten worse. I was also one of the first to pay for the offsite back when it was supposed to be a one-off fee. I like many others lost alot of respect due to that fiasco and have been patiently waiting for Chaotic to redeem himself, not in a money sence, but to show his customers and fans that he can produce games that are worth paying for. Sadly it seems, hope is becoming lost. Im interested to see what he does when he switches to flash although with more chance of bugs and a platform that is harder to fix i wont hold out much hope im afraid.

Sorry, looking at the files, there's only two pics of the pretty cop, and those you'd likely seen already.

Seriously, a lot of you use a Microsoft OS. Microsoft has a tendency to release non perfect OS & as soon as they found error, they release a patch to correct the error. It's the same thing, thinking that a lot of you still use it. Chaotic is fast to release a corrected version, maybe he just didn't see the errors at the time.

I don't think the feel of this game is so bad. I've played it through several times and the asian girl and the boss are the only two I haven't been able to have sex with yet (any tips for either one?). There were a few bugs several days ago but they seem to be worked out now (I play the online version).

I'm not gonna indignify this topic with a MS discussion. But you want to draw an analogy, that is a product not doing what it is supposed to do. So Chaotic, at least in the first release, provided a product where we were unable to obtain around half the endings that were available (which is the purpose of the game). Then if we were to lay an operating system as an example next to that, where the purpose is to give access to other software. So the analogy would be an OS not starting up half the time. I have used Windows since 3.1 and I have not encountered any such problem of that degree. So please get your MS bashing out of this thread, it is useless banter that is not in the least sense constructive to anything that's going on in this thread.

... Didn't see the errors? The only way he could not was to not even play the game. I mean. Seriously. There is no other way he can have missed those errors. And it's not like he's making Skyrim or doing anything complicated here. All these bugs were simply solvable by altering text in the html document... And he would know he was supposed to if he actually played his game.

And even if the game wasn't a bug ridden mess when it was released... there is still the issue of everything else. Yes, he says all those girls, but everyone is the same. All storytelling and game design was reduced to repetitive photoshoots that were all the same. He made the illusion of bigness by making everything woefully inadequate. Like, what differentiates all the girls? Why should someone go through all the trouble and all those lame photoshoots to see the same exact scene with the same girl only reskinned. It's just... bland.

And don't give me that "you can't criticize if you don't do it yourself". For one, several people in this topic DO make their own games... Secondly, would you really not tell a chef his food tastes like crap just because you aren't a chef yourself? Just because you don't make movies doesn't mean you can't have any opinion on them or any ideas how to make them better.

What's worse is that people have been saying these things for ages now, and Chaotic's response was to stop going to these forums AND close down the comments section on his own website so no one has the ability to contact him and he doesn't have to listen to people try to tell him how his games could improve, and thus continues to make the same slop over and over without trying to ask other people how to make his games into actual games.

And then he has the gall to charge 20 dollars for 3 months of nothing but horribly written, horribly coded, repetitive games. And it seems that someone, somewhere is actually paying him to do so, because otherwise he wouldn't even bother uploading things to the offsite at all. In which case, someone clearly just doesn't understand money, and Chaotic has managed to make way too much money for doing the least work possible. Wheeeeee.

I hope he isn't charging for this. Did anyone else notice the scenes for the party were taken from a video game - Hitman Blood Money by Eidos. You can see the screenshots here

http://guides.gamepressure.com/hitmanbl ... sp?ID=1281

Halfway down you can see the bar, bartender and the girl in the santa outfit.

The exterior scenes were taken from GTA4, so that's par for the course.

This comment is neither to criticise or defend, or even try to gauge Chaotic's reasons but here are two facts which should be taken into account when considering some of Chaotic's seemingly disregard for advices and attention to opinions:

Chaotic last posted here was:

@ Superawesomemans & Squeeky
Well, maybe he is a lurker. But even then - if you are a small developer and you don't talk with players about your game then you are doing something very wrong. How can you make better games if you are not interested in what people have to say about your previous games ? How can you make your games more polished if you don't see that people really want to see them bug free ?

This is all pretty absurd and a real mess. I have also paid for the offsite back when it was a "one-time deal" and that was fine - the games on the offsite were really good back then. Katie date (the one in the old mansion and a girl who got lost) was a little gem, tons of routes, great graphics and stuff. I was honestly hoping to see more games of such quality. Instead the games get progressively worse - and not just technically, but also in scenarios, dialogues and ideas

If you don't feel like editing the HTML there's a link to the files I modified while creating the walkthrough (mainly because of spelling errors; I only found half a dozen broken links but I neglected to note which files they were in).

Edit: I see that Chaotic has uploaded a corrected version of the game, so you may be okay without the modified files.

Edit 2: In fact, by the look of it he's added a lot of content that was missing from the first release, so ignore everything I've just said.

Edit 3: Walkthrough updated. It was a lot easier than I thought, since the additional sex scenes are carbon copies of each other (right down to the typos). And no, you can't do anything with Kat.

How exactly do you get the threesome? Every time I come back to the room with Ellie, Maddison is gone? How do you leave Maddison in the room to go get Ellie?

I've just tested it and there was a slight error in the walkthrough (the note [NB. For the threesome ending, stay at the party at this point] was in the wrong place). However, as long as you choose to go back to the party after the photoshoot with Maddison she should be there when you return to the room with Ellie. Note that you have to do Maddison first. If you do her photoshoot second and then go up to the room you'll get her solo scene because it skips the check that tests if someone else is in the room.
