i actually managed it without buying anything, only real difference to walkthrough i had was:
1.hold hands when walking dog
2.no need 2 buy anything,ignore that part
3.instead of game,sit down and talk,touch breasts
4.in the inn, dont buy drinks, sit and talk instead

and i can get bed ending:D
(kiss her,remove cloak,remove shoes,remove outfit,u shud no wat 2 do from there:P)
hope that helps

I think some of you super-techies are being too harsh, at least from my non-techie perspective.

This is a fun, somewhat non-intuitive free game. I like it (except for the non-human bartender, but that's a personal opinion) & am looking forward to a lot more options.

I use Firefox & it works fine.

@ luscious:
i totally agree(except with bartender, not what floats my boat, but doesnt bother me)
its not a medieval game, its a fantasy game, and my guess is that as it expands, more characters will be visible...possibly even 3way visible:P
thanks for the great work chaotic

I got the bed ending in the exact same way as rocks ending, just skipped the bar. when you magically remove her cloak, she will not dare to go outside naked, but will propose other obvious things

@ coder - I wasn't really serious about the medieval ages. but I do feel many of the people here are being just way too harsh with Chaotic. Im pretty sure none of the complaining people has a VIP account or participated in making the game. what I'm basically saying is - the game is free, make suggestions not complaints. you want a medieval dialogue's ? you think you can make it ? write to Chaotic. you have ideas - write to him. but dont make it sound like he made a crap - it's free so enjoy it, thats all

yeah, Im being harsh now but I really feel bad about the general attitude, Chaotic worked hard, tried something new and probably didn't see a penny for all that

---

one more thing, a suggestion for Chaotic - VIP area mentions a concept of Virtual Sci-Fi Girls. I think it would be absolutely great idea to use the locations created for VDG and VFG for trips within the Sci-Fi game. just like you have trips to the sea and stuff in sim dates (or ganguro girl, dont remember), you can have a star trek type of "beam us up Scottie, wanna take my naughty hottie to the fantasy world". would give tons of options for future games !

Wow....seems simple with few options but tok an hour to get her clothes off.....forgot to tie the dratted dog up though!!!

Please don't post walkthroughs. I like to scan through others' ideas and experiences and I don't want to have the game spoined by accidentally seeing the answer.

Perhaps walkthroughs should be posted in a new thread where people who like to show their 'prowess' and people who don't like playing games can amuse themselves without spoiling it for others.

About the coding things (in case Chaotic reads this...)

Yes, it shows Chaotic isn't an expert programmer. So what? His code might not be elegant, but it works. Take in mind that by his first game, he knew nothing about programing, at all! He's moved from zero skill to "enough to do a game" skill in very little time, and he deserves kudos for that. Good work on that, Chaotic. And please, take our input in how to do it better as that, input in how to do it better, not harsh critic implying it's "bad".

About the "javascrïpt vs cookies" thing, well, each programmer must find his own style. Both are tools, and both have their uses. If fou feel more comfortable with cookies, by all means, keep using them. They certainly work well for things that you use heavily in your games' flow, like the "have been at that place" / "have bought that item", if you remember to properly clear them at each game start (even if variables also handle that pretty well). But I advice you to keep using variables for things like numbers. It's much easier to set a single variable's value for, say, how many "influence" you've gathered, than the rather cumbersome handling of four diferent cookies that Erica had. You can have the best of both worlds!

About the language: Guys, I'm heavily into both reenactment and historical and invented languages. And something that irks us old speach buffs to no end is the wrong, cumbersome, artifitial usage of "midevil-sounding" (atrotious misspelling of "medieval" fully intended!) speech patterns whenever someone with pointed ears is involved. (Small wonder I take issue at that, folks!) Trust me: unless you happen to actually speak fluent Elvish, ;) the best way of translating the casual speech of a flirting Elf is to use the casual speech of a flirting Human; you've already asumed to be translating the words, why can't you asume that the casual tone is also part of the translation? Give Chaotic a break on that. I'd rather have that than more mis-used "thous".

KENDALINHO....

No walkthroughs

They just spoil things for those of us who want to play the game for ourselves.

Start a new thread if you have to show off.

I don't want to see it accidentally before I have enjoyed finding the solution for myself.

Slipstone, did you really need to say it twice? And with the "show off" remark?

I actually take ofence at the remark that walkthroughs are for those who "don't like to play games". So, acording to you, someone who gets stuck and needs a hand is because that someone doesn't LIKE to play games? Fie, man, fie! If that were the case, we wouldn't even have an oficial "I'm stuck" smily!

Plus, if you don't want a walkthrough, you can simply not read it; a detailed list of istructions - that you can choose NOT to read and skip over it instead- is not the same as a simple "Vader is Luke's father" that can be surprise-sent to you.

Besides, better have the walkthroughs in the game's thread than spamming the forum with them.

Is there a "spoiler" icon or something for walk-through posts? Maybe that would help?

@erana
I'd agree that making the dialogue self-consciously 'medieval' (whatever that means to a fantasy game) is unnecessary and would be counter-productive.

Where I'd disagree is that the "best way of translating the casual speech of a flirting Elf is to use the casual speech of a flirting Human".

I think that the point previous posters have been trying to make is that using 21st century idioms in such a setting breaks mimesis. A fantasy elf speaking like a modern human just sounds 'wrong' to most people (myself included). The middle-ground of non-idiomatic speech would be satisfying to the greatest number of people I think.

@ exlibris, fully agreed with the non-idiomatic speech, albeit things like slipping a few "bar speech" lines when the characters ARE in a bar (inn?) is actually non-idiomatic (since we can asume they WOULD be using "bar lines" of their language in that inn of theirs). Having them discuss internet memes or pop culture references, OTOH, wouldn't be so kosher...

@luscious: just make the spoiler light blue by use the (color=c2dcf5) tag, obviously using brackets instead of (). The text would be visible if you higlight it with the mouse. Like this, Erana is a QFG character.

EDIT: Sorry for the edits, but the colour doesn't show right in the "preview mesage" window...

A suggestion to make all of Chaotic's games better:

A way of keeping track of both our money and our influence. It's hard to tell just how far along we are with a girl in many cases.

Also, while I criticized Chaotic on page 2, I do have to say that Javascrïpt, out of all of the other scrïpting languages out there, is perhaps the most difficult one to learn. It doesn't behave like most of them, and has a lot of little things unique to it that can trip up developers, especially newbies. It's also the cause of some absolutely horrible tutorials on the web. Javascrïpt tutorials are a lot like Photoshop tutorials - 99% of them are absolute crap, and, even better, outdated. That's why getting a good book will do wonders.

So, Chaotic, if you're serious about doing this, you need to get modern resources to help you out.

Read through the language's official documentation: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Javascrïpt

Get a good book: http://www.amazon.com/Pro-Javascrïpt-Techniques-John-Resig/dp/1590597273/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1255956141&sr=1-3

And learn to do it the right way. You're only stunting your abilities if you learn by web tutorials, even those from a site like w3schools.
