Overseer with Rags engine

Hello

I like this game and I need help Could you tell me how should I finish any of the first assessments? I choose assessment B on day 40 and nothing happens till day 70 (and then I finished playing for that time). What should I do, to start making that assessment?

Man this game is so damn hard. I barely reached a population of 3 and then start being disturbed by foreigners. I don't manage to share my time efficiently to read/protect/try to get some slaves/build something in the basement. Also there's sooo much to read. Could use a whole day to read the whole stuff.
