Yes, it's very disappointing, specially because the plot and ideas of this game are great. But is full of bugs, many error parges or "ded points" (you ca´n't go futher when you star working as a escort, or when you see the adult movie in the loungue).

I wouldn't even consider it a Beta version, because it can't be played properly.

I hope in a few days the main problems will be resolved.

Since it's the season of giving, I'm going to give Chaotic the benefit of the doubt and say that it was the pressure of getting this game out for Christmas that caused it to be so buggy and incomplete.

I still find it depressing that I identified most of the bugs with a mere 2-3 hours of testing. I've deluged Chaotic with feedback so hopefully a more stable version should be available in the near future.

it is a shame, but it also seems pretty fix-able. what i will say is that this is a really interesting take on the genre. at any rate, thanks to all who sent along feedback so the rest of us don't have to, and boffo boxing day, or something.

Just Went through the first time found some loops but the game looks promising. Like Chaotic wrote in his blog he was with family for the holiday am quite sure he will fix all the bugs.

While appreciating Chaotic's good intentions and the fact that this game wasn't stuck away in Offsite for months on end.. There are 2 points I would like to make:

1. I would have preferred to have a bug-free version after the New Year.... If Chaotic wanted a pre-Christmas release then it seems he should have started work earlier. Benefit of hindsight, I know, but when it clear that it wasn't going to be finished in time, the correct thing to do was delay the release.

2. This experience has put me off the idea of paying for an Offsite subscrïption. It's bad enough having products released without proper testing, without paying for the privilige. Once you start taking payments people stop being fans, they become customers. It's no longer good enough to shrug and say "If you can do better...." Customers know they can't; that's what they pay you for.

well, the game's free. I agree with the point that it isnt a good marketing piece for his offsite, but a free game is a free game. i wish it wasnt borked, but i wont begrudge a guy being busy for the holidays or wanting to spend them with his family.

he put up what looks to be a demo, he got plenty of feedback on it, and knowing his track record itll get fixed. and its free. have i mentioned that its free? as in, he did all the work in the creator/consumer equation?

I'm a happy supporter of VDG Offsite, and yes, this game has NOTHING to do with it.

Frankly, it may have been a better idea to throw it up there as a Beta, kind of like what Pusooy does, and let $ supporters help Beta test it.

But since it's free, and will surely be better in a short time, quit yer bitchin'!

Had the game been displayed as "unfinished" or even "untested" I wouldn't have any reason for "bitchin'" - but just because something is free, that is not justification for it being sub-standard. It should still be fit for purpose - and this game isn't yet.

I don't begrudge Chaotic anything - he should be allowed to get on with that thing called "life" in any way he chooses. If you read what I said on that subject again you will see that all I said was I would rather he put the release date back until the game is, if not finished, at least in a far better state than it is.

With all due respect to lucky loser - The "freebie" concept is usually a marketing tool, giving customers a taste of what the full product is like - so is not targeted at people like you who have already paid.

My message to Chaotic was that he risks shooting himself in the foot by producing this as an example of his work. That isn't a complaint, just a piece of advice. We all know he is capable of producing much better - and I am as sure as you are that a fix will be issued before too long.

Having said that, even you agree that it should have been put out as a beta, which is basically the very thing I am complaining about. So if I am "bitchin", then so are you.
