She seems to have played almost all of the various MMRPGs, always with a similar looking character, and always with a name similar to Ariane. It's certainly possible that it's actually a man roleplaying a woman, but I've never seen anything from her that says so.

The only thing that kind of suggests it to me is that I'd never write a game where you date me. That seems like too much an invitation for cyberstalking. But that's me. She might feel differently.

From what 'ArianeB' has posted in various places it's pretty clear that the ArianeB character is an assumed persona rather than a direct avatar of the real person behind it.

"I wanted to create an artificial personality on the web, a person that lives in “The Metaverse”."

"Over the years, I have developed an online persona that is very rich and detailed. Sometimes I think of her and I as one in the same, sometimes she's a character I like to play, and sometimes we are separate personas that hang out."

I do have a vague memory of reading somewhere that the real person was male, but I've totally failed to find it again and overall I don't think it really matters one way or another.

I just had the same feeling as ExLibris.

I have been a big fan of Ariane and so read a lot of stuff and the blog, and something somewhere triggered the belief that it was a male behind the character.
I may be wrong, which is why I think I used the '?'

It's interesting that men often roleplay women, but women rarely roleplay men. Then again, maybe it actually happens frequently, but no one ever suspects it, so they're never "caught." I wonder if it's easier for a man to pretend to be a woman or vice versa.

Regardless, it's easier for me to think of ArianeB as a "her" so that's what I'm going to do until someone shows me otherwise. (-;

I have the same memory. I even remember reading a vaguely-worded biography of the author. In my mind I am absolutely certain that I know for a fact that "ArianeB" is the avatar for a man, but I can't find the evidence for my conviction anywhere anymore.

Let's just say the information was on ArianeB's MySpace page. That's the ticket... I'm not getting senile, it's the Internet's fault.

As far as I know, the only walkthrough for this game that exists is for a modified French version, the walkthrough of which is coincidentally also in French. I don't know if it is the authors' intent to ever release a walkthrough for this game.

Luuz, your english is much better than my italian, but I'm not sure if I'm interpreting you correctly. I think you're asking when our next game will come out.

First, have you seen "Getting to Know Christine"? You didn't comment on that thread, so I'm not sure if you saw it. That's our most recent game.

Our next game is the third in the Keeley series. We're deep in development now. It's kind of hard to say, but I'd guess we're somewhere around 3/4 done. I can see the end from here, but we've still got a ways to go. We don't have a date we're driving towards, though. One of the advantages of writing free games is that we can just say, "It'll be done when it's done." (-:
