My experience is exactly the same as yours.

It's not possible, for exactly the reason you state (ie. Mickey leaves work before you can speak to Anna).
You can certainly break up with Anna on day 2, and you have to if you want to talk to Mickey on day 3 and again on day 4.

I do like the graphics. I understand some don't, but I think it adds a lot. This is a mixture of a traditional text story and a graphic novel.
My humble option, in any game or story like this the more graphics the better.

Now a question for the group.
