I guess I sympathize though. I know the temptation to charge for games more than most.
The Kelly Date got 6000 downloads during September. If all those users were paying $30 a month for the privilege...
True, but when you charge money for something (even if it's something as miniscule as $0.99), you automatically bump it up from a freebie to a retail product, and suddenly it's subject to a lot more scrutiny. It's not entirely fair on the creator, but that's how human psychology usually works.
I'll go out on a limb and wager that a lot of the people who downloaded your games (myself included) don't have the ability to buy stuff online - no credit card, in my case. So if you hadn't released your stuff for free, they probably wouldn't have been able to play it at all.
I can imagine it must feel somewhat disappointing having spent all that time and effort on your games and not having any monetary compensation in return. But if you want people to pay for the game, then I suspect you'll have to be willing to jump in with both feet and invest a lot more into your products to make them 'retail-worthy'. Good job with trying out new economic models like the paid VIP section - if that works out, more power to you.
