Posting this here so most folks see it. Just visited Funnygames adult section and got one of those fake "This webpage has detected suspicious programs on your computer. Click OK for a free scan" pop-ups.

I couldn't right-click and close on the taskbar, so I had to run the task manager and shut my browser from there.

The "games" on there have been getting steadily worse lately, so I think that's me done with that site.

Same setup as sinthoras: no problems. I haven't had one of those "free scan" pop-ups since going to this setup. I usually get a livejasmin pop-behind but ABP blocks the ads so the livejasmin page is mostly empty. I've learned to watch the taskbar and close any pop-behinds wherever I go.

@bunnie...: You have a virus or other malware on your system. Try "hijackthis" or "malwarebytes" (google them) to get rid of it.

Nope I'm clean. First thing I did after the pop-up was run a full scan. It was probably a scrïpt running in a dodgy advert, there's been quite a few sites that have had problems with those lately. I just wanted to warn folk incase it hit them as well.
