Unfortunately we are going to see a lot more of this problem as the migration process was unable to modify the internal links to point to locations here. We can certainly edit those but it would be most helpful if the thread concerned, and the new location was given to one of the mods in a PM (see my little note in Introductions about creating such internal links). It will tame time to rectify all of those so patience will be needed.

I sincerely admire your good will, but I think the best is that the issuers of the posts with the "wrong" links do this job. They have a good search engine and can do it. After all it will be a way of participating in the re-building of this new house. And stone by stone, it will get more stable.

Ah! My Little Red Devil friend I know that what you say is very true, a very time consuming job. And yes, if the issuers of those posts could be relied upon to do (but how will they know?) that would be great, but even before I read this post of yours I see an impediment to your wisdom, mainly because of something which I just transacted just prior to this post. Sometimes the "wrong" link is quoted, and further quoted as an "embed" by someone else. I would have needed four persons to replace that one link.

I did see on one instance that Graen had posted in a personal comment of his a "viewtopic......" link as an advice but that does not advise the original user.

If you can offer a better solution, less time consuming, then I am more than happy to hear of it.
