Downloading flash games

I searched the forum for how one downloads a game from a website, instead of waiting for a sometimes slow connection to play it online.

However, I couldn't find the thread. I tried various things in Firefox, but without success.

Can anyone help?

The menu-names might not be totally correct cause i got swedish version... but heres what ya do:

There u will find ur file inbedded.

There's that cutting-edge technology called HTML you could try (Ramiro, that's a crack at my HTML hacks, not at you!) by going to any place that let you play it online, and looking at the source code of the page to fish the URL of the .swf file. For example, if you go to the Funny Base site, you'll find Robozou at

http://www.funny-base.com/games/robozou ... atest.html

One click on the "view page source code" menu later, you simply search the code for the string ".swf" which indicates a Flash file. We easily find this:

http:// (something else) /robozou_english_latest.swf
edited to remove the direct link

Again, one copy-and-paste in the adress bar and one "save as" menu later, you'll have the Flash file in your hard drive.

Some cautious fishes hide behind relative links. For those, you can use a different cast: hit the cache!

I think the uncomplicatest way to download online-swf-games would be to install Real Player, which can download directly almost every opened video- and game-file.
