I know these guys for about ten years now. If I were you I would follow Almeida's advice: don't buy their stuff! And after Almeida's experience, you better not download the shareware (alpha) version!

Those who warn me are my friends!

Cheers!

almeida67 wrote : Hi, I have a very strong anti-virus and malware and spyware. that covers all my needs. I check always even the zip files before installing something, including registered and trusted applications.
Besides I found quite interesting this game, and I participate in the forum about it, but when I got tired of it, I wanted to uninstall definitively.
I'm sure it is not a virus, I check, but an internal command that download the game again from internet and install it, by activation of some software you currently use, my editor in my case. I will find where, be sure, and I will inform the way to get out of the game definitively.
But my advice still remains: Don't buy or install this game. But make as you wish.
Or if the objections are from the owners of the site and want to enter in this forum, and explain what happens, it will be the best way to solve this situation.
I've installed and played it. It is uninstalled now but what should I do? Running Anti-virus/malware scanners?

I've run every virus program I have on it and it shows nothing. No viruses, spyware or anything fuanny about the installation...and nothing that "downloads it again from the internet and reinstalls itself" as you claim. Nothing weird in registry. I wouldn't call myself an expert but I do some programming and I can easily spot a trojan, etc. Something that tried to redownload itself and reinstall would set off a lot of alarms on my computer...my firewall, my registry lock, etc. You say that an "internal command" is doing it and is the cause of your problems. What virus program, spyware spotter or firewall are you running that shows this? Where in your registry is this happening? What do you mean by "internal command"? You've warned everyone here that program is dangerous, but you haven't explained how. I haven't seen anything of what you are talking about. I'm sorry, but unless you can tell me specifically how this program is able to get around everyones firewall, redownlaod itself and the reinstall itself I'm very dubious. It sounds more to me like you are having problems with Windows Installer. Bugs in Windows Installer cause programs to reinstall becuase they are stuck in an uncleared temp file; its a common problem that microsoft has with their installer and happens to the last program run stuck in the cache. Also I see this program is available for download on CNET..I know for a fact they test the heck out of their programs for virsues, spyware, installation problems etc. There is no way they would post a program that redownloads istelf and reinstalls itself. I believe that it happened to you, but I think it was just the fault of your Windows Installer...a common OS problem. I know the internet loves a conspiracy theory, but the fact that you had a computer problem doesn't mean the program caused it. If I clap my hands and it rains, it doesnt mean my hand clapping caused the rain.

I just found CNET's Software acceptnace policy and it clearly prohibits the kind of activity you are talking about. Sorry, but there is no way such a program could get throuh that kind of screening, pass every virus test, etc. and do still be able to redownload itself, reinstall, and execute hidden commands: http://www.cnet.com/1991-13403_1-6722508-4.html

I don't want to accuse him of spreading a hoax. I think he had a problem with his computer, which happened right after he uninstalled the program, so he thinks the program caused the problem. I'm just pointing out that, considering the sites that guarantee the program doesnt have viruses, spyware, hidden commands, etc. that his problem wasn't caused by the program.
