Several are .wmv files which should run straight off with a suitable player app, but the rest are .rar files that have to be unpacked before you can run them.

Presumably word pad is the app that is set as your default when your system has no info on what to use.

Hi ! BSB_lover22

I downloaded all the files today. 15 of them was compressed RAR-files that you have to unpack first. The other files was WMV-files playable in VLC-, divx-player etc. No problem for me at all. BUT YOU NEED WINRAR TOO UNPACK THE RAR-FILES. Any help for you?

Being a Ubuntu linux user I use the non-free version of unrar available from one of the repositories available under Ubuntu. This archiving tool add on is available for many OSes from http://www.rarlab.com/rar_add.htm

... or you may visit

http://www.7-zip.org/
where you may download 7zip for Windows and for other flavours all free... ;)

Seems I've got the full 7zip package also, courtesy of one of the repositories, although it's ver 9.20 instead of the latest ver 9.22 (Ubuntu tend to lag slightly until they are fairly sure of the version). You might need the unfree unrar as well if you come across a rar3 archived package.

@Greebo: Up to now I hadn't any problems unraring with Ubuntu (with the free version). Nevertheless 7zip works (almost) perfectly under XP. I say almost because with splitted files when one of them has an error it trends to always say that the error is in the first file, while winrar states the right wrong  file.
