Only some (maybe half?) of those images have been from my gallery, the rest have been tossed together as the whim takes me. Ironically the full body poses (without backgrounds) take less disk space up than the just the head ones. I generally chuck them through GIMP and Save As ... and use a Quality setting of 75% or 80% before uploading (chucking -web onto the end of the file name). The ones hosted at ImageCave I let their 'system' Optimize (the default is set to 70%) the image. A quick straw poll of the original images (i.e., a quick and dirty scan of the directory) shows a range from 50KB to a max of around 750KB (that's the 'stopped for the night' one). An average would be, I guess, 400KB per image? Add a little in for 'padding' and to make maths easier and call if 0.5MB per image?


Done a quick peek (which I should have done before before first mentioning it, but it was late!), and the software 'we' use would seem to be available for both *nix and Windows: http://gallery.menalto.com/requirements

Loaded Victoria 4.2 with Morphs
Loaded AprilYSH hair Nova
Selected MATs for hair and skin
Morphs 'twiddled' with for head and face to make 'unique'
Selected and laoded basic Pose (from DMS Coquette) and modified to make it into a blown kiss pose
Messed with 'fall of hair'
Initial render
Go back and select MAT for eyes.
Move head and eye position a little
Set Shader options (omnifreaker HSS)
Select Lights
Test Render
Select one light to cast Shadow (Deep shadow - the quick variety) and another test render.
Change light to do ray-trace shadow casting
Final render
Save render (131KB)
Upload to ImageCave

Awe is that how its done........very good......but it does get a lot more complecated when the character needs to interact with the enviroment or additional characters.....I find the rendering process fun but the photoshop editing and adding a story line takes even more time....... did enjoy your images......

I will admit I do rather like that one myself and am quietly proud of it.

The character is Victoria 4 (loaded with Base, Elite and Morphs++ - I think only Base and Morphs++ are in use), wearing Kimono Dress (a Dynamic Clothing item - http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/-/dyna ... 10924&_m=d which, IIRC, was on sale a few days back when I got it) and 3-D-C's free G-string and outoftouch's R Hair (http://renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.ph ... duct=78577)
The head/expression is probably the most, to-date, in-depth set of dial twiddling I have done. I especially like the small gap between her two front teeth. The way the kimono top draped was a very pleasant surprise - I wish I could say that was what I was aiming for ;) It was the first use I had made of the Kimono Dress, having just got it I thought I may as well take it for a test drive and was most happy with it's appearance.

I'm sure Ehlanna would agree with you Sexychild68, but .... and without detracting from her, she does advise us that those models are available at Daz3D, seems more like how well you (or more likely, Ehlanna and others) can manipulate them.
