Finally managed to download Daz 3D to create pictures for when I eventually write my game. However looking around most of the decent free content (morphs) seems to rely on having at least Victoria. Daz 3D has the add on content packages but they're quite a bit more than $50. With the free software you get the asexual Genesis body + basic female and male genital free body shapes. In order to provide sexual pictures I'm going to need at least nipples, assholes and female and male genitalia but on a variety of characters. Not really artistic so not much chance of creating my own and not got the money to buy much (like the genitalia from renderotica, if I'm not confident of using it well. Been to most of the sites mentioned here, not sure of licensing issues for a free game, so does anyone know of any good free content or should I just give up and ask for someone else to do the artwork, when my game (probably TADS) is near completion?

ShareCG has a free vagina for Victoria 4, but with a bit of effort, you can fit it to Victoria 3.

Renderotica dot com has a bunch of adult stuff for DAZ models, mostly Victoria 4 and Michael 4, but their stuff is not free.

I installed the Victoria 3 et al files into my Library directory and they've gone into the appropriate runtime subdirectories but I'm not seeing anything. The main files are obj files which I can import but then there are no links to the associated shaping etc. I wonder if I'm meant to import them all separately but that would be a lot of work and I'd have to do it every time I wanted a new image. I'm probably doing something wrong. I can see there's fantastic content on the DAZ site with a lot of potential (different ethnicities etc.) but I just can't afford it. So frustrating. Once again I'm thinking I'll do the programming and let the graphics guys do their thing but on the other hand I'm not going to give up yet.

As to the game it'll be largely driven by decisions as my plan was to produce many outcomes (so a lot of graphics required) rather than collecting various objects or gaining skills. I've been thinking of the plot for a long time but the game itself is quite ambitious, kind of inspired by Goblinboy's work.

@ZaphodB,
You shouldn't have to use the file import function to bring models into DAZ. How you open figures, props, and poses depends on your version of DAZ.
Which version of DAZ Studio are you using?

4.5 Some content from other downloads seems to be found but it just can't see the installed characters. The other figures aren't obj files.

if your are using 4.5 you should consider using the genesis model instead of the older victoria 3. There is more flexibility with genesis to do things. In regards to finding clothing, hair, morphs..well I would never suggest doing something illegal like torrents

In DAZ Studio 4.5, click on the COntent Library tab (it's most likely on the right side of your screen when you open DAZ.
At the top of your screen, you should see a white box with grey letters that say "Enter text to search by"
Type in "Victoria" without quotes and it should show all the Victoria models, poses, clothes that you've loaded.

Learning DAZ ican be hard; it's taken me two years to get where I am, and I'm still learning.

DAZ 4.5 has a built in tutorial. You might consider starting there. If the built in tutorial is too complex, see if you can borrow a copy of Figures, Characters, and Avatars by Les Pardew. Check your local library.

If you've never done 3D modeling, I think it's difficult. I've done some, and find it very hard. You might not find it hard to make backgrounds, hair and clothes. You can get free backgrounds, hair clothes, and character morphs from several sites. The sites I'm listing are legal sources, people make the items and upload for free. I don't support or condone software piracy. I am not financially connected with these sites.

These sites have LOTS of free stuff. All except sharecg also have stuff for sale. You must register to download from sharecg and renderosity, but you can download without registering at mostdigitalcreations and evilinnocence. Most Poser stuff will also work in DAZ.

Another good source of free stuff for DA is the Freebies forum at the DAZ web site.
