Hi guys I have uploaded the latest version of my Demo for Uni Dreams.

I have made some changes and lots of punctuation and bug fixes. Thanks to Ex And henrik for their help with proof reading.

Please let me know what you think of the changes. Once I am happy with day 2 I can finally start on day three.

Ok after some feedback from everybody I decided to do as suggested and changed the images to jpg.
The game is much much smaller now but there is a definate reduction in picture quality.
Let me know if you are happy with it in its new form.
The link below is to the next version of the Demo with the lower quality images.
I also looked into the scaling option that a few of you requested.
It is easy to set the pics to scale but seems to be a much more difficult task to get the hotspots or image maps to scale.
So I have not implemented it at this stage I might look into later.
I have reduced the Rez of the game to 1280 x 800 instead of the higher rez I was using. So hopefully that will help some of you.

Please give me some feedback on the changes I've made.

Great work! If the demo is 70MB, I guess the full game's gonna be huge both in terms of quality and gameplay!

So far I found three little bugs:



also, I took a look at the folder with the pictures, and I can't get some of them, no matter what I do. For instance:



I suppose they belong to day two, or something...

Finally, but I guess you already know that, the game doesn't work very well with WebKit based browsers like Chrome or Safari.

Thanks for the feedback and you are correct most of those extra pictures you see are for day two. I copied most of what I thought were the correct files and pics from the main game to a subfolder for the demo.

It looks like I also missed copying a couple of the new pics to the demo folder.


Anyway I am happy enough to concentrate on day two now.

when you think out the full version?

im not sure if it is because of the demo or what but i can't even get past the first day. I go search the campus go back to bed then it says check email and then walk around more. Then if you try to go to bed right an error message shows up saying the game crashed.

you can only play the first day where does it give you an error? when it says to check your email if you go to the left you can check your emails and it will show you 2 maps of the uni then you can go to bed that will end the demo.

Hi Josefus you are not too stupid. You can now register. I had it configured to not allow registrations as I wanted to avoid spam. I would be glad for anyone to register now. What is the error you speak of for the the picture julia_talk2.png? Is it saying that picture is missing? I think that was found a bit earlier the next part i release will have that fixed.

This is only the first day of this game I hoep it will get better and better as I add the days.

First thing I can suggest to somebody who would like to make their own games. Is first take a look at other peoples and see how they do it to get a feel for it. Secondly if you want to write a html game then you need to try and get hold of a good 3d editor. Probably the best one for a starter is Daz 3d as you can get it for free. Then take a look at java script it is probably one of the easiest langauges to learn and use for these games. Another really good thing to get is Tlaero's Adventure Creator it is available on this forum and it makes these games that much easier to do. It is an invaluable tool.

That is all you can do in this release you shoudl be able to end it in your room once you go to bed it will end the demo.

I will hopefully have some more for you soon.

It worked! I was able to register. But then!
In the e-mail I'm still waiting today that gives me my access code to your page.
I had done just my daily mail. So I know that there's nothing coming from you. Also, do not spam or anything.
What to do. I'm really really neugirieg.
I have looked at the demo again. I am bothered about the texts that form the images in a long time. I bring in the next few days, a new game here in the lagoon. Look at that. You can switch between normal speech and text. No specialties. Simple rules and it works.
