What do you prefer? Games or interactive stories?

How do you define them?

If a story is interactive, then by definition it has some game-like elements (ie. the player is called on to make decisions).

I think an interactive story is like my game "The Hypnotist".
A game for me looks like "bodywerks", "Demon town" and so on.

Ah, okay. I'm afraid I have to come down on the side of games in that case (although I'd already voted for 'Main thing is a good story').

'The Hypnotist' is just too linear for my tastes, which would be fine in a story that was written in the third or first person. However, in a story that's written in the second person (which effectively casts the reader as the central character) it just feels unnecessarily restrictive to me.

You might want to read this, in which Greg Costikyan puts the case for games.

I´m just learning, how to work with RAGS. So i think, I´ll get deeper with every part I make.
I´ve just finished the first piece of the second part of "The Hypnotist", called "Janine". Admittedliy it´s in german, because it´s very much easier for me, to get the criticism in german speech. But nevertheless i´ll post it in the next few minutes.

I've been looking through Delron, Richard otter and AIF games.com... where are the 3 games you mentioned? I'd love to try them out!
