Released new version of Getting to Know Brenda (V3_1)

So...
Date #3 is finished
Notes:
1. Stopped publishing the Flash (.swf) version due to size, lack of stability and inconsistent behavior in different browsers. The Windows Projector file (.exe) is big (87 MB) but it has the correct version of the Flash player embedded in it and runs well if full screen is used.
2. You must have the folder named media in the same folder as the game file and it should contain around 120 .png files.
3. This is the final version of the game. It's been challenging and fun.

Seems to be a very good work! The art works are nice and the game-play is pleasant (very good animations).

Some small bugs. Be careful with the buttons (active zones). They are present on the picture where they must be clicked, but also on other pictures where they can be clicked by error.

can't wait for the continuation.

In the bedroom and with the desk, she always become angry...

Nice little game so far. I've just got a couple of suggestions.

First, the hotspots for the cursor are often very small, this is mainly a problem when moving around the house. It took me four goes before I realised you could enter the kitchen and about 6 for the porch.

The side of Brendas face that's in shadow is very dark. I would add a fill light or two. That's a distant light source on (roughly) the opposite side of the model to your main light. Set it to 10-20% intensity and switch off any shadow-mapping for it.

It's looking good so far though. I'm looking forward to the next date.

Congrats Cugel, enjoyed the game very much the animations where very nicely done, as noted above the hot-spots where very small but interesting, also hope that you expand on this game that as great potential

Can someone help me, i don't know what to do before she come back... The only things i do (the bedrorm and open the desk) make her angry...

visit all the rooms (except the bedroom), open the drawer of the desk, turn on the radio in the kitchen then click the button to continue.

I visited bathroom, kitchen, counter, living room, porch, and finaly desk.
But what can i do after opening the desk ? the only thing i found to click is the button to continue... and she become angry... And the game is over before i can turn on the radio...

Well, if you turn on the radio first and then stop looking, you can continue.

Anyways, not bad so far.
Alot of potential.
But yeah, the mouseover sections really are a bit to small in some occasions.

I really liked your game so far. It was quite challenging to finish the one and only story line so far and hoping you will continue with this game.

This is all very encouraging feedback and valuable suggestions. I take your point about the size of the hotspots. I debated over it and now that I see it is a source of a lot of frustration - I will adjust. I actually wanted the shadows on the face and so on because a lot of the renders I see are very harsh, but I probably went too far the other way in trying to be "atmospheric". Lighting is one of my many nemeses.
A couple of things about the game play. The drawer in the desk and the bedroom are just plaid booby traps - all of the time. They always end badly. The bedroom may become safe in a future date once they have been intimate. When you are looking around the house and find something that "pops up" and gives some info this means that that item is needed to progress and the hotspot will be gone at that point. Items only become available when they are needed, so in future dates other objects in the house will be used.
I am working on the next phase now.

That's great Cugel, looking forward to seeing Brenda's hot body..
personally I do like the atmosphere shadow, but it may also depend on each ones type of display setting 'brightness'
