im still a noob but a 1 year veteran of daz 3d version 3 i just downloaded version 4 yesterday and the ability to make different types of wimmin has alot of potential the problem with making different wimmin is:
1. short wimmin images may get you accused by family, freinds, church groups, and THE MAN as depicting child porn and get you problems.
2. small breasted wimmin might create similar problems and always remember the artists arent selling their product to other artists they are selling to ppl who hopefully arent below majority age but their brains might be at the lvl of a 12 year olds.
hopefully after a few years of study i might join the ranks of the ppl who posted above me.your games rock and ive enjoyed most of them

The free version on RAGS (0.9.9.2) is also quite good for games creation and there is also quite a nice good breadth of experience and knowledge lurking and available for consultation.

So far I just have some free stuff for DAZ Studio, and I'm a little disappointed, actually. There's not a lot of ability to change the size/shape of individual body parts that I can see. I want characters with different breast shapes, hand shapes, and so forth. Also I haven't found a function to repaint the texture maps.

What programs should I have to really modify characters like an artist?

What you're looking for are "Morphs." The free characters don't come with many of them, but you can buy expansions for them to give a wider variety. For instance, check out Victoria 4's "Morphs++". Also, the new Genesis character in Daz 4 just got a morphs pack. I haven't tried it yet. I'm still waiting for Daz 4 Advanced before I get serious with Genesis.
