I have noticed that players have expressed problems accessing hypnopics to try my games. So for these players, I'll give making a home for my games here a shot. Since I'm new here, I'd thought we'd start with one of my games and see how it goes from there.

University Sim2 is my tribute to the dating simulation genre using the rags game engine. It's the typical dating sim as the player trys to build stats at school, works for payment based on said stats, and tries to woo the girl of their choice. Unfortunately, only charlie is datable to the extent of typical choosing a location and taking the girl there. The other girls are datable(with the exception of emma), but are without the location choices. I was working on adding emma to fully datable status, but download counts didn't support future updates.

There are 11 endings for the game and some construction zones as I call them. They make for oddities but I haven't experienced anything major in a detraction from game play. I may look into providing some closure for pieces of the game, but this is in essence a final version. Player choice of course whether this will impact your gaming experience.

I ask players respect my requests below in using my links:
1. Please do not share my links with others or create a link of your own. I use download counts to gauge player interest in my games. If players do not use my links, then their downloads are not included with my numbers. If the downloads indicate limited player interest, I'll still complete the game for myself, but will no longer make public updates.
2. Please do not post my games on other sites. If you are aware of a site that might enjoy my games, let me know so that I may consider posting there. If my game is on a site I am unaware of, I'm not going to see any of the potential feedback generated by the game which I find very helpful in making my games.

some comments. I'll try to be vague as possible, but there might be spoilers, so this is fair warning!


favorite story line is the main story with charlie. i haven't been able to get a certain item from a certain hottie salesgirl, so that's my next focus.

i love the strategic element of the game. you have a scarce resource in your action points or whatever they're called, and using them smartly is key. this is a good way to side-step the number of turns limitations you see from other games with timers. you can have more moves if you choose carefully and pick stuff that costs a lot of points carefully.

so now my questions!

1. is melissa date-able at all? she's got something i need to further the story with charlie, but she won't sell it. she's said she likes fashion, so i've bumped that stat, but nothing. if i'm more of a regular customer spending money on her wares, does that open up more opportunity with her? is she date-able at all?

2. (SPOILER) if charlie disappears, can you try the 'find her' storyline from the liberal arts side, or is it business only?

I'm glad you like the game Henrik. It's my fav so far, but I've been adding some pretty interesting updates to manor that has me thinking it could give this game a run for its' money.

I'm fond of charlie as well. There's an element to cara's path, the story behind her little pillow talk, that i was looking forward to putting in that is still waiting to be told. Did you experience this path with her yet?

I like trying to provide as much player freedom as possible and thought the hp system allows for this. Some people didn't care for being charged for say talking to a girl, but such an act increases the relationship points so it can't be a free action.

I'm not very comfortable with the board options yet, and miss the spoiler option also.

Your questions:
1.Sorry, forgot to mention that melissa wasn't made datable either. Just never got around to her. The item for sale you are looking for. You need to have a relationship level with another of the girls in order to achieve this. Trying to stay in the hint/gentle nudge area. Someone who is helpful to corwin.

2.Charlie is the only girl who can be rescued after she disappears. It's a difficult path to get and I haven't heard from anyone who has managed it. It's part making an alliance for the better good one might say. I try to provide various levels of challenge to appeal to a range of players so there is hopefully something for everyone.

Wow, Ive been away for abit from checking on this forum, Im going to have to come back more often, lydia, Im a big fan of the Rag's system and pretty much all of these "choose your own adventure" games and yours are among the best I've played. Sorry for checking in on this one so late

I much prefer to provide hints that still allow the player to solve a puzzle than outright answers. Have fun storming the castle. You didn't mention whether you have had any experience with the cara path I posted earlier. Please let me know when you get a chance.

with cara i can get to the second "scene" with her where she strips down to her skivvies after i've needed first aid for a second time. is there anywhere to go from there? that second trip for first aid is sure costly, as it took my athletics all the way to zero.

Thank you Lydia for sharing this game with the lagoon. As I said in your thread in the hypno collective, I had bunch of fun with the game that you based this game on, and I had even more fun with your game. I am quite convinced that those who try your game and play it will have a very good time.

Regarding spoilers, I have been thinking about this topic as well, and I am hoping that there will be a spoiler button added to this forum in the near future, but untill it does or if it doesn't the best way is simply to write the spoilers with the same colour as the background of the board, so it's only visible when you mark the text. I did some digging and created this thread here:

@Tjommi. What exactly do you mean by a "spoiler button"? I revisited your thread and noted my comment about "Colour Spy".

For what are you looking? Remember too that Shark is a "tenant" of the software that gives to us this framework, he has some control but only within what the framework provides.

many forums (not sure about aceboard) have a spoiler button function to them. if i'm talking about a movie and don't want to spoil, i can type [spoiler]darth vader is really luke's father[/spoiler] and all anyone sees in the text between the tags is a button that says "SPOILER".

it normally is a function that has to be added or activated by an admin.

I suggest we take this particular discussion to another thread, but with a spoiler button I ment what Henrik said. I talked briefly with shark and he said this would be difficult to implement here. I wanted to share the colour option with the people here in this thread at least this is the kind of thread where there are very likely to be alot of spoilers and they were looking for some way ... well you get what I mean.

Yes, there is a high cost as you mentioned, but it's the price paid for cara's path. Visit a few sites and see corwin discover a new career which cara is sure to not pass up giving poor corwin a hard time over.

Thanks for the support. It's the product of a ton of work. But I enjoy a good dating sim/stat building game, and wanted to provide my take on the genre. I have had the most fun playing this one of my games so far.

A popular subject apparently. Nice detective work in locating a solution. WHile I prefer the spoiler button, the color option is a good way to handle spoilers also.
